Our Impact on the ground is tangible and children in Sri Lanka continue to be empowered through education. 30 preschools are run by Ocean Stars many of them being in rural locations. Around 500 children benefit daily from a nutritious meal provided by OST. This in turn impacts on the learning of our students and our Data shows that well-nourished children perform better in their Early years of education.
We were delighted that our school trips to Sri Lanka resumed in 2023 and Calthorpe Park School took their 7th group of students on a life-changing trip to Sri Lanka.
