4-day residential Teacher Training Course

Our flagship Child Development Programme has been in the spotlight again this week as 70 teachers gathered at the Miyani Centre in Batticaloa for our 4-day residential Teacher Training Course.

The focus this year was our Assessment Tool which is part of our Child Development Programme. On Day 1 teachers arrived from afar on tuctucs, by bus, bus minibus and by family transport.

Welcome speeches were made, and welcome dances were provided by children from Chenkallady 2 preschool as well as children from our Sponsorship Programmes. T-shirts and notebooks were handed out and then team building activities followed.

A lot of laughter was had as everyone was happy to see each other again. Our Colombo preschool teachers had travelled 9 hours to across the country.
