Galle - South Tuition Project

Ocean Stars Trust is currently supporting one project in the south of Sri Lanka in a village called Kuruduwatta .  The project supports students with their studies by providing them extra tuition in Maths and English. Classes take place in a community building after school and at present there are 30 pupils who attend these classes. The teachers have been working for Ocean Stars for over 5 years now and are committed to helping the young people in their community with their education.

Ocean Stars helps the project by paying the teachers wages and buying resources for the pupils as well as benches and desks for the pupils.

Rev Mohan - Galle Project Miss Dilanee and Miss Shona, we would like to thank you both for coming down to Galle to visit our project. The children are so grateful for the opportunities you have given them to improve their education. The money you send us helps us to pay the wages of our two teachers and to buy educational resources for the children. The parents are so grateful that the children have an opportunity to access education and study hard and do well at school. We hope that we will continue to work with you for many years to come.
