Our partner, Ocean Stars Lanka, recently met with some of the sponsored children in Trincomalee during their visit. It was a wonderful opportunity to see firsthand the progress being made and to hear how sponsorship is positively impacting their education and confidence.
Sponsorship offers hope and opens doors for disadvantaged children in the community - giving them the opportunity to dream, achieve, and build a brighter future.
Child Sponsorship is a major focus of the work of Ocean Stars Trust.
Through sponsorship, lives are transformed.
Sponsored children are able to:
- Access extra tuition classes
- Purchase school books and essential learning resources
- Pay for transport to school and additional classes
- Receive uniforms and supplies needed to attend school with confidence
But sponsorship goes beyond finances.
It also:
- Builds self-confidence and motivation
- Encourages regular school attendance
- Reduces the risk of children dropping out of education
- Supports better exam results and future career opportunities
- Helps break cycles of poverty within families
