October Means One Thing: Volunteer Trip Season
Each October, UK school teams travel to Sri Lanka to volunteer alongside our preschools and link schools - an experience that leaves a lasting mark on everyone involved.
This year, another team is preparing to make that journey, after months of fundraising and preparation back home.
For many students, it's genuinely life-changing - a chance to see, firsthand, exactly where their fundraising efforts go.
After 18 months of planning, fundraising, and preparation, the Calthorpe Park School Ocean Stars Team 2026 is finally counting down to their Sri Lanka adventure!
Together, the team has raised an incredible £24,000 to support Ocean Stars Trust's work.
With their trip kit now ready, the excitement is building. Soon, they'll meet the children and teachers at our link schools and see first-hand how their fundraising is making a difference.
25 days to go... Sri Lanka, here we come!
