After 18 months of fundraising, the amazing Calthorpe Park School Team 2026 are finally on their way to Sri Lanka - and what an incredible journey it has been!
When they held their very first meeting, they had raised £1,400. Halfway through their fundraising journey, they reached £8,600. And now, on departure day, they have smashed their target, raising an astonishing £26,000! ????????
Record breakers, every single one of them!
Thank you so much for your monumental fundraising efforts. You name it, they've done it! From cake sales and tuck shops to Ironman challenges, marathons, canal walks, abseiling, Vinted sales, craft fairs and school fairs - the team have thrown themselves into every challenge with incredible energy, enthusiasm and determination. They have simply been AWESOME! ????
At their packing day recently, the team proudly presented a cheque for £26,000 to Mr John Bunter, Chair of Ocean Stars Trust. What a moment to celebrate!
Now comes the really exciting part. During their trip, the team will see first-hand how their extraordinary fundraising has helped transform lives across Ocean Stars communities in Sri Lanka. From playgrounds and music rooms to school uniforms and educational resources, their generosity is opening up opportunities, creating brighter futures and bringing smiles to hundreds of children. ????????????
