We need 300 dry-ration food packs to support cyclone-affected families

As you may have heard on the news, Sri Lanka is grappling with the impact of one of its worst natural disasters in recent history - Cyclone Ditwah. Ocean Stars, formed 20 years ago, following the natural disaster of the Tsunami, seeks to bring immediate relief to communities affected by ongoing disasters in Sri Lanka.

Our 31 preschool communities, our 150 sponsor children's families, our boat beneficiaries are all struggling to secure daily food due to the loss of income and damage to their homes. We have now been asked to supply 300 dry-ration food packs to all our cyclone-affected families. The cost of a pack is £15 and includes Rice, Dhal, Flour, Sugar, Milk powder, Tin fish/protein items, tea, and other essential items such as soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste. This timely support will help vulnerable families stabilise, protect children's health and wellbeing, and enable them to focus on rebuilding their lives after the flood.
