St James Place Charitable Foundation is one of the largest corporate foundations in the UK, supporting hundreds of charities every year through their grant-making programmes. The Foundation was set up in 1992 as a way for the staff and advisers of St. James's Place plc (SJP) to give back to their communities.
More than 30 years on, the support of the SJP community has helped raise millions of pounds for charities and become one of the largest corporate foundations in the UK.
SJP gave Ocean Stars a donation to help continue the feeding programme, allowing us time to find a long-term sponsor. Their donation enabled us to feed many children for 6 months.
We are very grateful to SJP and are working with them to obtain a further donation to support a preschool.
Goldranch Investments was established in 1978 and operates in the real estate industry. They have been supporting our feeding programme since 2024
Our feeding programme provides a nutritious meal to those children whose mother and father cannot afford a meal. Evidence has shown us that those children who do not get a nutritious meal either do not attend school or attend and fall asleep in class. Some are also lethargic and do not engage in the activities.
With the support of Goldranch we provide nutritious meals to those children in the poorest areas which in turn not only improves their opportunities in the future but also improves their health allowing growth.
We are very grateful for this support, allowing the full advantage of education to be taken by the children.
