Dilanee the Ocean Stars Founder and Head of Operations, is currently in Sri Lanka to attend our annual residential teacher training funded by Fonthill Foundation UK.
Her first visit on Day 1 was to the Colombo City Mission preschool, one of 31 preschools supported by Ocean Stars Trust.
The teachers had organised an English Day and all the parents had come to see their children perform. The students sang songs and introduced themselves in English and spoke a little bit about themselves. This being our only trilingual preschool, English is the third language spoken by our preschool students.
Well done to the teachers for their organisation and the students for their amazing performance. The morning was rounded off by everyone singing Happy Birthday to Ocean Stars to celebrate our 20 years and a special cake had been ordered. Everyone had a piece of cake and a plate of snacks prepared by the parents.
