Ocean Stars Lanka Celebrates 20 Incredible Years!
A day to remember! On the 10th of July, Ocean Stars Lanka marked its 20th anniversary with a vibrant celebration full of joy, pride, and community spirit. The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including the Government Agent for the Batticaloa District, along with over 100 attendees who came together to honour this amazing milestone.
The event began with the Vipulananda School Samba Band leading the opening ceremony, followed by the traditional lighting of the oil lamp. A beautiful dance by one of our sponsored children warmed everyone's hearts, and lively performances of singing and dancing by preschool children from one of the 30 Ocean Stars-supported schools had everyone smiling!
It was especially lovely to welcome Abdul Basith-a former sponsor child who also attended our UK celebration in March-to the Sri Lankan event as well.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Ocean Stars Lanka team for their tireless dedication and hard work in making this celebration so special. Here's to 20 years of transforming lives-and many more to come!
