The Calthorpe School Ocean Stars Team 2025 have arrived in Batticaloa!! The excitement was tangible amongst the Ocean Stars Lanka staff as they waited for the Beyond Boundaries tour bus to arrive at East Lagoon Hotel. 25 students and 15 teachers from 6 link schools gathered at a local community centre to welcome the Calthorpe School Team, as well as the other Ocean Stars Team 2 visitors. The traditional lamp was lit, welcome speeches, introductions, photos and a snack were all part of the welcome launch meeting. We finished with the Hokey Cokey, which left everyone in high spirits and looking forward to a week of sharing friendship, hope and joy.
